Duayaw-Nkwanta: Dr Freda Prempeh, the Founder of the Ultimate Women Foundation (UWF), has called on examination supervisors and invigilators to refrain from adopting attitudes that might intimidate female students during the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which commences nationwide today.
According to Ghana News Agency, Dr Prempeh emphasized the importance of creating a supportive environment for female candidates and advised them to take advantage of the free Senior High School programme. She encouraged the girls to do their best in the examination to benefit from the programme, highlighting the BECE as a critical measure of academic success.
Dr Prempeh pointed out that invigilators should avoid creating a fearful atmosphere that might hinder the candidates' performance. She assured the students that the examination would cover material they had already studied and cautioned them against engaging in examination malpractices, which could lead to severe consequences, including the cancellation of results.
The Ultimate Women Foundation, a non-governmental organization focused on empowering women and girls, has committed to supporting talented yet financially disadvantaged girls in their academic pursuits. Dr Prempeh reiterated her foundation's readiness to help these girls achieve their career ambitions and reminded them of the significance of their educational journey.
The former MP extended her best wishes to all candidates, encouraging them to excel in their exams and reminding them of the continuous support available to help them realize their dreams.
