UAE explores space

The old Arabic proverb says: a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) applied its first step to space exploration through a journey to Mars and Moon, and still, there are hundreds of miles to be done.

From landing a rover on the Moon to sending an Emirati astronaut for a six-month trip to the space station, 2023 is set to be the UAE’s busiest year for space exploration. This means that the UAE will reach new heights this year.

The conquest of space will also help the UAE in its aim to solve enduring problems on Earth, such as food shortages, access to clean water, and overpopulation.

No doubt, the UAE is entering a new era of space exploration. This effort shows the world that UAE is committed to making its group bigger and the objective is to have a full crew of astronauts, who are each ready to be drawn on for future missions. The country really has a big, ambitious space flight programme – it’s all part of inspiring the next generation to build the economy into one based on knowledge and innovation.

The final goal of this programme is to build up the country and build up its citizen.

As reported by a lot of specialists in different media platforms, the UAE sees in space the same challenges such as water and energy, which is really going to help, not only the UAE but the whole world.

Emirati astronauts worked with the Russians, the Americans, and the Europeans, and all have one common language: exploration and science. That was the thing that unites humans. Experience in space shows that when astronauts look out of the window from orbit, they see that the Earth is a globe with no borders.

Astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi will take on the Arab world’s first long-duration mission, while the Rashid rover could become the first Arab spacecraft to reach the Moon.

Dr Al Neyadi, 41, will become the first Arab astronaut to fly in a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. He will ride the Crew Dragon Capsule to the International Space Station this spring for a six-month stay.

It’s a fact that UAE is entering a new historical phase. Through its recent scientific achievements, it seeks to free its economy from dependence on oil in the future. The country wishes to reserve a seat for it among the big countries through the ‘Probe of Hope’ project and nuclear energy.

The recent scientific achievements of the UAE have strong implications. Its aim is to revive the former glories achieved by the Islamic civilisation in the past.

“This new technical stage derives its inspiration from the past when the Arabs were pioneers in science, space theories, physics, and astronomy. At the present time, the UAE is looking forward to a new future for the Arab world, in which boundless ambition and determination, coupled with cooperation and tolerance, will benefit humanity once again.”

If things go as planned, the UAE would become the first Arab country to reach the Moon.

The Emirates will etch its name in history books many times this year if its space missions go as planned.
