State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga has held discussion with Congressman John Garamendi and Co-Chair of the Ethiopia-America Caucus, at the United States Capitol on national, regional and international issues of common concerns.
During the occasion, the state minister thanked Congressman Garamendi for his continued friendship to the people and government of Ethiopia.
He also briefed on the progress made in the implementation of the Pretoria Peace Agreement, peace consolidation works and the need to support post-conflict recovery and rehabilitation efforts in Ethiopia.
They also exchanged views on national, regional and international issues of common concerns, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Congressman Garamendi for his part appreciated the tremendous achievement in Ethiopia and promised to remain a strong advocate for the revitalization of the strategic partnership between Ethiopia and United States of America.
