On behalf of the Government and the People of Seychelles, President Wavel Ramkalawan and Vice- President Ahmed Afif have both sent messages of congratulations to the two newly appointed women in the key posts of Prime Minister and Vice President of the Republic of Uganda, following President Yoweri Museveni’s announcement of the new Cabinet of Ministers and Ministers of State on the 8th June 2021.

President Ramkalawan sent a message to the Designated Prime Minister, Mrs. Robinah Nabbanja applauding her on her new appointment and stating: “I wish to seize this opportunity to reaffirm my commitment and that of my Government to working closely with you in our efforts towards elevating our bilateral engagements to greater heights.”

On his part, Vice-President Afif expressed to the new Vice-President elect of Uganda, Mrs. Jessica Alupo, that “your appointment to this key post demonstrates the high level of trust and confidence that his Excellency President Yoweri Museveni has placed in you.”

Both the President and Vice President noted of the long standing friendly relations between the two countries which was bilaterally established in 1992.
