Rotary Club of Victoria donates to homes for the elderly

The United Nations has designated October 1 as a special day for elderly persons as a mark of respect to this section of the community who have throughout their lives contributed so much to enriching the lives of their families and so many others.

A community which always respects its elderly and cares for them will always reap their wisdom and develop resilience to tackle the challenges life throws at them.

Rotary Club of Victoria has through the years always recognised this special group and provided regular food baskets and several other amenities to supplement their requirements and make the homes a more comfortable environment in their golden years.

This year it has decided in collaboration with the Ministry of Family Affairs to provide over 100 complete sets of bed linens and towels for all the 9 homes on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue.

Rotary Club of Victoria, which is affiliated to Rotary International, is a small club of professionals of various disciplines who use their expertise and resources to improve the lives of communities in which they are based.
