Romania Keen to Develop its Relations with Africa, Especially with Ethiopia in Various Fields

Romania interested in developing its relations with Africa, especially with Ethiopia in various fields, Romanian Republic Ambassador to Ethiopia, Julia Pataki affirmed.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, received the Romanian Republic Ambassador to Ethiopia, Julia Pataki, in his office today, according to Foreign Affairs Ministry.

During their discussion, Ambassador Mesganu expressed that Ethiopia and Romania have historical and long-standing relations on a bilateral and multilateral level.

He further expressed Ethiopia’s keen interest in enhancing the existing bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

The Romanian Ambassador, Julia Pataki, announced that Romania is interested in developing its relations with Africa, especially with Ethiopia, in the fields of peace, development, education, food security, and environmental protection, and in cooperating on strategic partnerships.

Ambassador Mesganu welcomed Romania’s new strategic initiatives to develop its relations with Africa a
nd Ethiopia in the fields of education and development projects.

He also explained situations in the Horn of Africa and expressed Ethiopia’s track record as the source of peace and stability in the region.
