Raphaelle Bouchereau appointed learning and development manager at Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa

Raphaelle Bouchereau is the new learning and development manager of Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa following her successful growth within Hilton Seychelles properties.

Bouchereau, who started her career as a management trainee at Hilton following her hospitality management education at the Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA) and Shannon College in Ireland, is now managing learning and development activities of a team of 346 people on Silhouette island.

Having joined Hilton Seychelles family in 2020, Bouchereau has been through various stages and positions throughouta two-yearcareer at Hilton. Using management traineeship as a kick-start to her successful career, Bouchereau held the position of guest service agent for seven months before she was appointed at the new Mango House Seychelles, LXR Hotels & Resorts property as guest experience manager. Her extraordinary performance led the way and within a few months of employment, she reached the position of assistant front office manager, a title that runs a crucial part of operations.

Having spent one year in the position of assistant front office manager at Mango House Seychelles, Bouchereau will now head back to Silhouette island to serve as learning and development manager of Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa.

“My ambition is to become a general manager of a hotel,” said Bouchereau.

“Hospitality helps drive my creativity with no two days ever being the same. I love seeing happy guests after they have received the best service and experiences. Right now, I am motivated by learning something new and being the best at what I do. I look forward to making a positive impact on the team. To me, Hilton means Hospitality. I chose Hilton because of the endless opportunities for growth and the drive towards excellence.”

Bouchereau poses an example for young and ambitious Seychellois who want to start or further their careers in hospitality industry.

“There is one thing I can say to young people in our business,” said Bouchereau, “be humble, but also be confident. Don’t lose sight of your dreams when you’ve had some bad days.”
