With recent rainfalls which have significantly improved the flow of rivers and availability of surface water used by the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC) for treatment, PUC water division has resumed normal operations and lifted water restrictions.
Currently, three of its six desalination plants are on standby, with the remaining plants operating at reduced capacity.
PUC continues to undertake repair work on burst pipes which have mainly been caused by surges, as a result of repeatedly opening and closing the water network during the times of water restriction.
PUC thanks members of the public for their cooperation during one of the most recent extensive drought periods experienced.
PUC would like to also thank its staff for their hard work and devotion throughout.
The corporation also takes this opportunity to highlight to its customers the benefits of having a water storage tank.
