President Ramkalawan sends solidarity message to South African counterpart

President Wavel Ramkalawan has sent a message of solidarity to his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa after learning of the floods in the KwaZulu-Natal Province.

The natural disaster, which was triggered by heavy rain, has taken numerous lives and wreaked havoc on several facilities.

The President’s message reads: “In these moments of great national grief, the government and the people of the Republic of Seychelles join me in extending our deepest sympathy and solidarity to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of the Republic of South Africa. I am confident that the unity of the Rainbow Nation will see your beloved country through this difficult period. We offer our prayers and comfort to the families, friends, and loved ones deeply impacted by this tragedy.”
