President Wavel Ramkalawan sent a message of congratulations to his counterpart from the French Republic, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, on the occasion of his country’s national holiday.

In his message, President Ramkalawan expresses, on his behalf and that of the Seychellois people, his warm congratulations to President Macron, and his most sincere wishes to the French people for further progress and prosperity.

Welcoming the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation that unite the two countries, the Seychellois President reaffirms his firm determination to continue to “work to strengthen our relations and our bilateral cooperation within the limits of my responsibilities”. .

“I take this solemn opportunity to salute your peace initiatives, your sustained commitment to multilateralism and your determination to move the European Union forward, which have never wavered, and which have contributed to providing Europe with the instruments of strengthened political and economic governance,” added President Ramkalawan.

The Seychellois President concludes his message by expressing the wish that “under your impetus, the deep traditional friendship that binds France and the Seychelles as well as their leaders, will continue to develop within the framework of the fruitful Franco-Seychellois partnership and to expand the cooperation, consultation and very fruitful cultural exchanges between our two countries”.
