Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed laid the foundation stone for the construction of Arbaminch Conference Resort project, which is part of ‘Dine for Generations’ initiative.

Following the ‘Dine for Sheger’ and ‘Dine for Ethiopia’ tourism sector development initiatives, we proceeded to ideating the ‘Dine for Generations’ flagship projects with the aim of developing 8 tourism destinations nationally, Abiy twitted.

He said “today we laid the foundation stone of the Arbaminch Conference Resort which will be built on a 120 hectares parcel of land in a picturesque setting overlooking Lake Abaya.”

With a year and half completion timeline, we will continue fulfilling our growing aspiration of tapping into 1.3 trillion US dollar revenue of global tourism sector through the expansion of such initiatives that unlock our natural, cultural and historical wealth, he stressed.
