Over 900 Candidates Register for 2025 BECE in Bia East

Bia East: A total of 929 candidates have registered to sit for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Bia East District of the Western North Region. The candidates include 515 males and 414 females from 30 public schools and nine private schools.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Patrick Boadi, the District Examination Coordinator, stated that the examination would be held in four centers: Adabokrom, Camp Junction, Fosukrom, and Kaase. He assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the examination's success.

Mr. Boadi took the opportunity to caution candidates against examination malpractices, noting that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has implemented measures to detect and prevent such activities. He advised both candidates and stakeholders to refrain from any malpractice intentions.

Furthermore, Mr. Boadi warned supervisors and invigilators to adhere to their training and follow accepted practices and WAEC's code of conduct. He also urged parents and guardians to cooperate with school heads regarding school selection to avoid past issues where parents blamed head teachers for incorrect school choices for their children.
