Victoria: The Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Vivianne Fock Tave, received the outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Seychelles, H.E. Mr. Gunnar Andrea Holm, at Maison Quéau de Quinssy on Tuesday, 1st July 2025. Ambassador Fock Tave expressed gratitude to Ambassador Holm for his contributions during his tenure, highlighting the enhanced bilateral cooperation between Seychelles and Norway, particularly in capacity building, climate change, and maritime security through EUNAVFOR Operation ATALANTA and the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF).
According to African Press Organization, discussions between Ambassador Fock Tave and Ambassador Holm also addressed the issue of drug trafficking. Norway is collaborating with the UNODC to implement an information-sharing mechanism with Seychelles to combat this challenge. The farewell marks the end of a productive term, with both countries committed to continuing their collaborative efforts in these critical areas.
