Murder case – Hubert Mothe

The two accused in the death of Hubert Mothe, namely 33-year-old Ryan Neddy Underwood and 26-year-old Steffie Nikita Mary Robert, have pleaded not guilty to murder and aiding and abetting to commit a murder, respectively.

The two appeared before Judge Melchior Vidot yesterday morning and the first accused is represented by counsel Anthony Juliette, while the second accused is represented by Alexia Amesbury.

Following their plea, the court spent over three hours to select a nine-member jury, from a pool of 51 potential jurors present out of 58 who had been served.

After a lengthy exercise, a jury comprising six men and three women, were selected to hear the criminal case which is now under way.

Hubert Mothe died on February 11 this year after being stabbed with a knife, during an incident in the St Louis district.

The two accused are also from St Louis.
