Victoria: The Office of the President has announced that Mr. Michel Raymond Pierre will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC) starting 1 January 2026.
According to African Press Organization, Mr. Pierre brings a wealth of experience in youth development, governance, stakeholder engagement, and programme management. His career has been marked by collaboration with national and regional partners on youth empowerment initiatives. He has shown leadership in managing complex programmes, mobilising resources, and strengthening institutional frameworks. His professional journey includes significant involvement in youth policy implementation, grants and programme management, and working alongside civil society organisations.
Mr. Pierre’s career path saw him transition from a youth worker to serving at the Citizens Engagement Platform (CEPS) from 2014 to 2021. He initially held the position of Events and Programmes Manager and was later promoted to Chief Executive Officer in 2017. Before his recent appointment, he was the Grants Coordinator at the Seychelles Conservation and Climate Adaptation Trust (SEYCCAT).
