Message from the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan, on the allocation of the National Day on 29 June 2022

President Wavel Ramkalawan said that our unity as a people is the key to our success and progress.

“It is time for all Seychellois to march in the same direction of prosperity, hard work and peace that we are in today, to ensure that our society, no matter how lazy, takes these blessed islands as ‘home’, to be able to continue living. I am proud of being a Seychellois, ”said President Ramkalawan.

The President said this in his message on the occasion of our National Day, which was celebrated on June 29, which was also the 46th anniversary of our independence.

The full text of the President’s message reads as follows:

“Ser ek Frer Seselwa,

“It is with great joy that I wish all Seychellois here in Seychelles and around the world a happy national holiday today, on the anniversary of our Independence. Seychelles is our country and we are proud as a Creole island to celebrate this day that brings us together as a people, as a nation that continues to build our country so that all generations of Seychellois will be able to raise our flag as high as possible and our national flag. make us the center ot voice ‘Koste Seselwa’.

“Our unity as a people is the key to our success and progress. It is also the time when Seychellois march in the same direction of prosperity, hard work and peace that we are in today, to ensure that our society, no matter what the race, takes these blessed islands as ‘home’, to be able to continue living in them. pride as a Seychellois.

“Let us not rage this week, for in spite of our troubles we do not know much about positivity and accomplishment, otherwise the spirit of unity will slip.

“So, I come up with ideas, and to see them flush it out, it’s really fun. Let us give support to help our brothers and sisters to rise and fulfill their dreams. Let us not hesitate to go through the week and offer our courage to the weakest of us. Together, they always put motivation and solidarity as strong pillars in the construction of our later Seychelles.

“Both of us are guided by noble principles such as respect, peace, tolerance, and love. With such a compass, each of us to contribute and make sure, what ‘our Seychelles’ has come to bear

Our destination, too, without exception, will benefit and prosper as a proud Seychellois. Mazin well that if we long to get away fodre that we travel together.

“Sisters and brothers of Seychelles, it is in the spirit of unity that we will be able to move forward. Napa in another way. Don’t focus on our differences, because they make us drive and lose direction. Solidarity means that we do not care about ourselves, but as Seychellois, we adopt principles that concern and care for my sister and my brother as well. When my neighbor fell, it was a piece of my hair that also fell and the success of a Seychellois was my success and reason to celebrate. His gold medal is also for me.

“With such a strong granite foundation, our Seychelles will truly become a country of pride and a blessed world where generation after generation of these roses and bands of sand will remain the birthplace of a proud and blessed people. Seychellois, the future is ours. Let’s also seize this opportunity with both hands.

“I am the first to be aware that the storms, created by international storms, are causing us to panic and bring fear and concern to many instances. We are small, but global disasters have come our way. That is why I call on all Seychellois to follow closely everything

on arrival around it. Let’s not just watch movies, but listen carefully to local and foreign news so that we will always be alert. This will enable us to make good decisions and organize our lives. We can, through good strategic planning, save our country and strengthen our economy and if we continue to sail in the same direction, we will be able to face the current storm and win victory for our people.

“Seychellois brothers and sisters, all indications of the world are more predictable than before

klersi. Commodity prices around the world continue to rise. The world is facing a food crisis and an energy crisis. My call is that in this difficult and uncertain time, which is between us

look closely at the way we spend our bags on the grave.

“Despite our national holiday, it is not the time for us to have fun and live as if there is no tomorrow. On the contrary, young and old, let us really organize ourselves in our homes and workplaces. In adversity, let us become stronger, stronger, and more mature. This is the way to go through these hurricanes and come out safe and sound.

“Today is the time to re-emphasize our quality as Seychellois to work hard as a guiding principle. I have said this many times and I feel there is more we can do.

“I am proud to be a young Seychellois who is taking the initiative, focusing on their studies and work, making every effort possible and succeeding. I am happy to see the efforts and devotion that a service has given with a smile and what it has given and what it has received and what it has done with the joy of the face. This is the spirit that I personally am happy to find more in our country.

“I will ask too much if I tell all Seychellois to give 100% of everything

do we do Or will I just reaffirm the reality that we should live in peace?

in parade?

“Brothers and sisters, people are not happy to live in frustration. We want good service. I am launching another call for greater sense of discipline in our country. It is unfortunate to say that too few people have taken a step back in their work and this is delaying the development of our country. Everyone needs to give 100%, as I said before. We need salvation for our people. Any liability shall be released in accordance with its conditions. If we also do this, our people and our country will live well.

“Will I be asking too much if I ask anyone to do the work they should be doing? If my request what week cleaning for gard week prop? What is the best decision to make? What takes care of the sick to provide the best service? What is a driver to bring passengers in greater comfort? Is it too much to ask?

“I am the cause of discipline and hard work because I am convinced that with a more conscientious spirit, no one will stop Seychelles, which is Seychelles. I don’t know because our country can’t become a country

prop. As a result, our country cannot become a country where our citizens show more respect for us to visit

instead of stealing it. Because of this we cannot be a people who obey the law and walk in lord and peace. Because the people of Seychelles cannot take greater care of their health instead of expecting others to do it for us. Because of the fact that we are asking for the cross as an individual, I would rather ask for the cross that the government can make for me.

“Seychellois, let us stand as proud citizens. Let’s not rush into other people’s plans, but rather take care of ourselves and step by step we will grow and come to realize our dreams for ourselves, for our families and for our community. Let us keep in mind that a bird makes its nest by brass, and that it counts from number 1, if not zero. If I do not say this, it is because I want to be a strong, strong, disciplined, conscientious and finally a people of Seychellois who have an extraordinary life because they know where they stand and how to face tomorrow.

“Such a nation and its citizens are proud of themselves.

“Stand proud of Seychellois. We can do it!

“I also congratulate the Seychellois who have achieved great things over the last year. It is a great pleasure to welcome Seychellois to the State House to congratulate you. Indeed, they have made our country more honorable, and they have raised our pavilions higher. Earlier this year we passed a law to establish a reward system for people whose actions and devotion have made Seychelles proud.

“I will be honored to soon present the first Medal of Honor and Medal of Merit recipients. The committee will do its job and make recommendations. In a ceremony in Zilyet, we will recognize this first group of people. The spirit behind such an award is to show all Seychellois that Seychelles recognizes its well-behaved children. We are not to leave anyone behind. I take this opportunity to encourage people to give their best in what they do, whether in work, sports, study, talent, courage and other areas. When you do that, you do it for Seychelles.

“Seychelles’ position on the international stage continues to be recognized and our contribution has been made

appreciate. The name of Seychelles is taken seriously and I would like to congratulate all the Seychellois leaders who are working tirelessly to make this happen. Of course, as a leader, I also include workers in various departments who do conscientious work.

“This year we have been recognized as the least corrupt African country and the first in terms of press freedom. Our rupee is the strongest African world and our economy is among the best performing. Our vaccination campaign against Kovid-19 is one of the most effective in the world and in Africa. At Expo 2020, we received a lot of determination from the athletes to win this Olympic medal. We are part of the world culture. Many Seychellois have been recognized individually worldwide for their achievements. With that in mind, I am convinced that we will have more. The Seychellois spirit is one

strong spirits. Let us continue to spread it among our people and let it flourish on the international stage.

“Sisters and brothers of Seychelles, our national day has brought us together as a people. Today it is our pride and unity that dictates the direction we continue to take as a country. Seychelles is truly a place for all its children.

“I also invite Seychellois to continue to put our country first and to protect the values that our ancestors instilled in us. Continue to live in a way that respects your faith – respects your faith, your offspring, your differences, and your abilities. It is in our diversity that we become the true Archangel nation.

“May God bless us in Seychelles, all Seychellois and all who visit our island.

“Happy National Day.”
