Maria Azemia Appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Seychelles Tourism Board

Victoria: The Office of the President has announced the appointment of Mrs. Maria Azemia as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Tourism Board.

According to African Press Organization, Mrs. Azemia holds a Master of Business Administration in International Business Administration from Amity University in India and a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Management and Marketing from Edith Cowan University in Australia. With over 10 years of experience in leadership, management, strategic planning, and tourism development, she has been a prominent figure in both the public and private sectors of the tourism industry.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Azemia has held several senior positions, including serving as Director of the Seychelles Pavilion at EXPO 2020 Dubai and Director of Destination Development at the Seychelles Tourism Board. She has also been involved in a range of marketing leadership roles at both local and international levels, showcasing her extensive expertise and commitment to the tourism sector.

Before her recent appointment, Mrs. Azemia was the Executive Director in the Office of the Principal Minister within the Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture, and the Blue Economy. Her new role as Deputy Chief Executive Officer will officially commence on 1 July 2026.
