Lawra MP Allocates Over GhS90,000 for 2025 BECE Support

Lawra: Mr Bede Ziedeng, the Member of Parliament for the Lawra Constituency, has allocated approximately GhS93,000.00 to support the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the constituency. This initiative forms part of his ongoing commitment to improving educational standards in the area.

According to Ghana News Agency, the MP's contributions include providing a hot meal for all 1,009 BECE candidates in the Lawra Municipality throughout the examination period, costing around GhS50,000.00. Additionally, Mr Ziedeng donated 1,020 mathematical sets, valued at approximately GHS11,000.00, to all BECE candidates.

Furthermore, Mr Ziedeng supported the Lawra Municipal Education Directorate in organizing mock exams for the candidates at a cost of about GHS32,000.00. Speaking in Lawra, he expressed optimism that providing meals during exam days would alleviate candidates' concerns about feeding at examination centers, allowing them to concentrate better on their studies.

Since taking office in 2021, Mr Ziedeng has consistently supported BECE candidates in the Lawra Constituency during their preparation and examination periods. He encouraged students to take the exams seriously to transition successfully to the next stage of their education.

Mr Francis Cudjoe, the Lawra Municipal Director of Education, expressed gratitude for the MP's continuous support, emphasizing its positive impact on teaching and learning outcomes. He expressed hope for improved performance and pass rates for this year's BECE candidates in the municipality.
