‘Lafolly Lanmour’ is successful

The National Youth Council (SNYC) described as a great success its first activity ‘Love Madness’ on Saturday, where young people were encouraged to show love through positive actions and with compassion in several places in the central region of Mahé.

This event is part of the National Values ​​program, and its objective is to promote different positive values ​​through these actions.

He saw the participation of more than 160 young people from the Young Citizens group , students from Plaisance, Mont Fleuri, English River, Belonie, Beau Vallon and Perseverance schools, young police officers, the group including the ‘Diamond Dancing Troupe’ , SNYC youth dancers with support officers of Young Citizens and SNYC, Radio PureFM , Radio Seychelles and Paradise FM, National Council for Children.

They were stationed in different places including Bazar Street, Orion Mall, STC Hypermarket and Roche Caiman Bazaar to distribute information on the value of helping people with their shopping bags. This activity was called ‘Azout Diesel’.

These young people also shared ‘ flyers ‘ and ‘ bookmarks ‘ with words of encouragement and good luck. Another group of young people expressed their feelings through performances in different locations including Bazar Street, near the bus terminal, Hypermarket and the post office, and there were also young people who were performing at the bus terminal.

Following this activity that according to SNYC has been planned very quickly, they are satisfied with the number of young people and the public reaction.

The senior youth officer in the Youth Empowerment and Wellbeing section, who is in charge of the value program, Marylia Dorlin, says that the positive reactions are encouraging because the young people really put their hearts and efforts into it.

“These efforts by the couple have been well appreciated by members of the public who said they wish that this would happen more often, because it brings a lot of support and peace to them, and they are happy to see young people bringing these good values. to them, and do good to them.”

Another activity that saw good participation was the ‘Sem Lamour’ which encouraged members of the public to tie a ribbon as a sign of love and hope with a chain and show their commitment to maintaining and promoting good values.

In this one that was taking place in front of the post office and in Bazar Street, the public was also asked to make a contribution that will be given to a young person with disabilities during the Christmas period. SNYC says that this was also well appreciated by the public, where more than 300 individuals, including young people, participated.
