Gifty Anti Foundation and The Standpoint made a cash donation of GHS 15,000 to the Ghana Muslim Mission (GMM) Greater Accra in support of its Samsam Water Project. The donation is to be used to drill a borehole in support of the project to create employment for the people of Samsam and its environs. Oheneyere Gifty Anti, the Founder of Gifty Anti Foundation, said the donation formed part of Standpoint’s 15th-anniversary celebrations and to express gratitude to the GMM for the assistance given to her talk show over the period. She said creating employment opportunities for the youth, especially young women, was important to the Foundation and upon hearing that the GMM was soliciting funds to aid the establishment of the water project, they decided to support it. ‘We decided to drill one borehole in support of the water project to help the young women and men as well as the development of the GMM.’ ‘As you know we are battling unemployment in the country so this project will help bring joy to the people, enable the GMM to grow, and ultimately bring benefit to the Standpoint and the Gifty Anti Foundation,’ Oheneyere added. Imam Nurudeen Quaye, the Greater Accra Regional Imam of the GMM, receiving the donation on behalf of the region, commended Oheneyere for the kind gesture and prayed that Allah replenished her support. Brother Abdul Salam Commey, the Chairman of Tuba Branch of the GMM and member of the Project Committee, also expressed appreciation to Oheneyere and the team for the support and pledged that the money would be used for the intended purpose.
