French ambassador calls on Minister Joubert

The French ambassador to Seychelles, Olivia Berkeley-Christmann, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment, Flavien Joubert, on Monday at Unity House.

Discussions between the ambassador and Minister Joubert focused on climate change and exchange programmes for students who wish to pursue further studies in the field of agriculture, sustainable tourism, marine spatial plan, and waste management.

Minister Joubert highlighted that Seychelles appreciates the continued support and solidarity of France on various issues related to the vulnerabilities of small island developing states.

He further stated that Seychelles is a step ahead with its commitment to reducing economy-wide absolute Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by 26.4%.
