Seychelles NATION has learned of the unfortunate passing of the former Miss Regatta, 2017, Jorestina Cafrine.
Jorestina would have turned 23 years old in December this year.
In an Up Close interview with Seychelles NATION back in 2017, Jorestina described herself as a passionate and creative person who loved the outdoors.
She prioritised her friends and family above all, adding that her family was the pillar of her very being.
“Be confident in yourself. If you want something go for it. Even if you fail, at least you know you’ve tried. Confidence is like a bullet proof vest, nothing can hurt you when you feel good and safe in your own skin. Raise your head high and make your dreams come true,” she told our readers.
In a Facebook post, Round Table Seychelles notes: “It is with great sadness that Round Table Seychelles learnt of the passing away of our past Miss Regatta Queen, Jorestina Cafrine, on the eve of what would have been our 2021 Regatta. Jorestina was well known among our Tablers for her intelligence and her lively character.”
Our newspaper sends its sympathy to the family and friends of Jorestina.
