A religious service will be held today at 4.30pm on the Seychelles Hospital grounds at the grotto between the medical and surgical blocks.

This will be a mass in celebration of the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes by the Roman Catholic Church.

Every year, on February 11, Roman Catholics commemorate the day by remembering those who are sick, suffering and who require healing.

This year marks a new beginning as the last mass celebration at the grotto was in February 2020, just a month before the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is also an opportunity to welcome Father Yves Ngowegui as the new Roman Catholic chaplain for both the hospitals and prison.

Persons from all faiths are invited to participate in this solemn event.
