Addis Ababa, Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) Chief of Staff, Field Marshal Birhanu Jula, has received Tanzanian People’s Defense Force Chief General Jacob John Mkunda, who arrived in Addis Ababa to attend the 116th Army Day.

The 116th National Army Day will be celebrated at the national level with a variety of activities on Thursday.

Earlier today, South African National Defense Force Chief, General Rudzani Maphwanya, also arrived in Addis Ababa.

Upon their arrival, the chiefs were received by Field Marshal Birhanu Jula and discussed strengthening military relations between their respective countries and working together on training issues.

Chiefs of staff and military leaders of various African countries are also expected to arrive to attend the event.

During their stay in Addis Ababa, the chiefs will exchange experiences on bilateral issues and joint operations.
