Logistics and Transport Ministry stated that a discussion has been held on ways to restore road transport service to the Tigray region.
Logistics and Transport State Ministers, Bero Hassen, and Dengie Boru visited the overall status of the transport infrastructures and transport institutions in the region.
The state ministers have also held fruitful discussion with pertinent officials of the Tigray Interim Administration with a view to restart road transport service to the region.
An agreement has been reached to enter into the implementation of resuming the road transport service by drafting short, medium and long-term plans.
According to Logistics and Transport Ministry, the discussions were fruitful and there is a need for a broad-based collaboration and support of all stakeholders to rebuild the region.
Various works will be undertaken on the logistics and transport sector in the region in collaboration with the Tigray Interim Administration and the regional Transport Bureau, it added.
