The Clerk to the National Assembly of Seychelles, Tania Isaac, attended the Clerks and Secretary General’s meeting organised by the SADC Parliamentary Forum (SADC PF) from November 23-24, 2022 in Sandton, South Africa.

This meeting was planned ahead of SADC PF’s 52nd Plenary Assembly to take place in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was chaired by the Clerk of the Parliament of Botswana with the Clerk of the Parliament of Zambia as vice-chair.

This forum gathers all Clerks and Secretary Generals of member Parliaments of the SADC region to advise the executive committee on matters submitted to it by the secretariat.

The members also share experiences on parliamentary processes for the benefit of SADC parliaments and exchange best practices.

At the end of the two-day session, the Clerk of the Parliament of the Democratic Republic of Congo was elected as the new chair and the Clerk of the Parliament of Tanzania as vice-chair for the next two years.
