Cameroonian fashion designer Anggy Haïf joins forces with Seychelles Fashion Week

Fashion house Anggy Haïf (AHDV) is the official partner of Seychelles Fashion Week and the announcement of this partnership was made in a press release this week.

Designer of fashion accessories, Anggy Haif was voted best young African designer in 2005 during the “Africa is fashionable” contest.

According to the press release, “the luxury group AHDV is delighted to announce the launch of the fashion competition AHDV PRIZE whose international edition will take place during the Seychelles Fashion Week from 26 to 2 October 2022 organized by Telly’s Modeling Agency led by Terry Carola.

“Our ambassador for this first mission is the artist and fashion designer Gérald Fleury who will represent the collections of Maison Anggy Haif and the AHDV group”.

The AHDV PRIZE will allow young Seychellois fashion designers, winners, to receive a grant for Paris each year which includes:

– An internship of three to six months in a large Parisian luxury house.

– a check for 2,000 euros offered by France Culture.

– A fashion show during haute couture week, during the AHDV PRIZE DE PARIS .

AHDV PRIZE also intends to extend its partnership with all international fashion weeks in order to allow the emergence of young fashion designers.

Note that Anggy Haïf Development Village (AHDV) has a fashion academy in Paris for training in the profession of fashion designer and luxury know-how.

During a telephone interview with the daily newspaper Seychelles NATION, Mr. Carola welcomed this partnership with this large renowned fashion house.

“I am very delighted, because it’s been a while since Mr. Haïf has been following all our activities and our creations. Our models impressed him a lot. We started discussions a little over a month ago and I’m really happy that it worked out. This is a great outlet for young Seychellois designers and fashion designers as well as models,” said Mr. Carola.

He also said that it is a great achievement for the Seychellois fashion industry whose visibility will increase.

Mr. Carola added that young Seychellois designers now know that there are more outlets for their creations, which will help their development.
