Avoeme: Madam Faustina Elikplim Korwu, the Assembly Member of Avoeme Electoral Area in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region, has taken a bold step to support and inspire Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in her area during the first day of the 2025 examination.
According to Ghana News Agency, Madam Korwu donated mathematical sets to 216 students from three schools, including Avoeme Basic School, New Kingdom Preparatory, and Luminous High Academy. She emphasized that this gesture was intended to motivate and encourage the candidates to work beyond their limits and achieve outstanding results.
Madam Korwu expressed the importance of supporting young future leaders during this crucial time, encouraging them to work harder for a brighter future. She highlighted that the donation aimed to assist students from low-income families who might struggle to afford essential examination materials, which could impact their performance.
She also took the opportunity to advise the candidates on the importance of discipline and hard work, urging them to avoid examination malpractices and focus on understanding and answering questions to the best of their knowledge for better outcomes.
Madam Korwu acknowledged the financial difficulties many parents face, which can hinder students' access to basic educational materials. She encouraged the students to remain confident, avoid panic, and take their exams seriously, wishing them success and praying for God's blessings and guidance upon them.
