Seychelles: The Office of the President has today announced the appointment of Ms Vivienne Confiance as Deputy Registrar General. Ms Confiance will assume her new role starting from 1st August 2026.
According to African Press Organization, Ms Confiance brings over two decades of professional experience in the legal, regulatory, and public sectors to her new position. Since 2018, she has served as a Legal Officer at the Central Bank of Seychelles, where her responsibilities included providing legal advice, reviewing legislation and policy documents, and representing the Bank in both national and international forums. Her work has contributed significantly to strengthening the country's legal and regulatory framework.
Before her tenure at the Central Bank, Ms Confiance held several senior legal positions at the Seychelles Revenue Commission. She served as Director of Legal Advice, where she played a key role in legislative reform, international tax cooperation, and legal proceedings.
Ms Confiance holds a Master of Laws (LLM) with Merit in Banking and Finance Law and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London. In addition to her degrees, she has completed numerous professional certifications in anti-money laundering, governance, contract management, and financial regulation. Her expertise has led her to represent Seychelles on various regional and international legal and regulatory bodies.
