Birnin Kebbi: The All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Alhaji Kabir Sani-Giant, who serves as the Special Adviser to Governor Nasir Idris on Power and Politics, effective immediately. The action follows a controversial incident involving Sani-Giant at the Government House.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the party's Kebbi State Secretary, Alhaji Sa'idu Muhammad-Kimba, issued a statement in Birnin Kebbi on Sunday, announcing the suspension. The statement detailed that on February 8, 2025, Sani-Giant shocked attendees by bringing a snake into the Government House. This act reportedly intimidated dignitaries, statesmen, and officials present at the location.
Muhammad-Kimba emphasized that Sani-Giant's conduct had the potential to embarrass and discredit the APC, noting that his actions were in direct violation of the party's constitution. The party views his behavior as both offensive and unacceptable.
Sani-Giant's suspension will remain in effect while the party conducts further investigations. Depending on the outcome, he may face additional disciplinary actions, which could include expulsion if similar incidents occur in the future, Muhammad-Kimba added.
