Victoria: The Office of the President has announced the appointment of Ambassador Ian Madeleine as the new Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism.
According to African Press Organization, Ambassador Madeleine brings extensive experience to his new role, having joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in July 2011. Over his 14-year career in the foreign service, he has held numerous positions and responsibilities.
Ambassador Madeleine's academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Education, with a focus on history and politics, from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia. He also holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
